HI ORLAAAA
just wanted to say that aloe Vera works wonders when it comes to sunburn, as does oatmeal and calamine lotion
AND APPLY SUNSCREEN ON THE MOST UNLIKELY PLACES
I got sun burn on my scalp in Hawaii :(
OKAY BYE LOVE YOU BE SAFE
Thank you, thank you! I appreciate the advice, my sweet. 💗
The sunburn on my left shoulder is improving, but my right shoulder is cracked and cut. It's pretty tight and quite painful, especially with the open wounds. :'D
I bought some aloe vera gel. I tried Sudocream (which I don't think I'll use again, since I don't think it was helpful at all) and After Sun. I just hope it heals quickly, but I have a feeling it'll take a couple months... (*_*)

My Baby Got The Hives
She's been breaking out in hives, the poor girl. It feels better when I slap the spots to get the blood cooking. The neighbors either think she's being abused or we have a crazy spanking fetish.
Long lines of raised, pink skin which itch like a poison ivy rash. Unforgivable and maddening. She smells of calamine and aloe. She'll moan from time to time and says Jesus Christ quite often. Can't blame her.
It's been going on for three full weeks now. She'll be seeing a allergist next week and has been praying to the heavens that they will provide her with relief. Today she got a few between her toes, under her breasts and her once kissable neck. She looks as if she's been lynched and whipped.
She's trying to sleep now so I've been walking on tip-toes. Sleep is the only bright spot of her day. Night.

How Can You Use Aloe Vera to Get a Glowy Face and Clear Skin?
Somewhere around the 15th century, a great Indian physician described a versatile plant with innumerable esoteric properties. He gave it gentle names like Ghritkumari and Gruha Kanya- which meant "The Maiden of a Home." Furthermore, he describes it as a Rasayana (rejuvenator) and vrasya (aphrodisiac).
Well, you might have guessed it by now. This plant is none other than our household aloe vera. Aloe vera gel that’s a natural gel from the succulent cactus in our homes, has long been known for its therapeutic abilities. It is anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and a great binding agent. But how will we use it?
Here are few uses of aloe vera gel
To reduce sunburn
To get rid of acne marks
To keep the skin hydrated
To treat any rashes or boils on the skin
Let us tell you the different ways you can use aloe vera gel in form of homemade packs to revitalize your skin.
No.1- Aloe Vera Gel + Rose Water
Mix equal amounts of rose water and Lacto Calamine Aloe Vera Gel aloe vera gel to make a smooth paste. This glassy face pack smells of sweet roses and can be applied on the face for 10-20 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Benefits: Aloe vera gel has antioxidants that reduce blemishes. Rose water is an effective toner that reduces dark spots from acne. These two ingredients successfully reduce imperfections and pigmentation. Resulting in a smooth, flawless skin with no dark patches.
No.2- Aloe Vera Gel + Turmeric
Mix 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder and honey with 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel. Make sure that one washes the face with a cleanser and evenly apply this golden face pack. Let it rest for about 10 minutes and wash with cold water.
Benefits: Turmeric and aloe vera gel have anti-inflammatory properties that eliminate acne and pimples, giving one a smooth, healthy skin with no painful bumps.
Tip: Mix some cucumber or lemon juice in the turmeric face pack, and you have a potent suntan solution!
No.3- Aloe Vera Gel + Multani Mitti
Blend 2 tablespoons of Multani Mitti, 1 tablespoon of milk and 1 tablespoon of Lacto Calamine Aloe Vera Gel aloe vera gel for face pack which needs to be applied on face with a brush for a precise finish. Let it work for around 15 minutes, and rinse it off.
Benefits: Multani Mitti face packs are silky in texture. In combination with pure aloe vera gel, it is a powerful remedy for oil control. Aloe vera cleanses the pores while Multani Mitti absorbs the oil leaving one with glowy, dewy skin.
No.4- Aloe Vera Gel + gram flour
Take 2 tablespoons of gram flour and combine with 1 tablespoon of pure aloe vera gel. This face pack is to be used like a scrub on the face. One needs to gently massage it on their face and neck and wash it off with water.
Benefits: We all know gram flour as a great exfoliator. The consistency of aloe vera binds well with the grainy besan that can be easily applied on the face. This mixture removes the dead skin layer, leaving one with a clean face. Now, any product one uses would soak better into the skin.
No.5- Aloe Vera Gel + Banana
Mash half a banana and mix a tablespoon of aloe vera gel. Double-cleanse the face and apply this face pack. Let it sit for 10 minutes, and wipe it with a wet muslin cloth.
Benefits: This thick, gooey blend has the hydrating goodness of aloe vera and banana. The fatty acids of both these ingredients deeply nourish your skin, leaving it supple and bouncy.

Why Mosquito Bites Itch So Bad: Causes and Relief
Tumblr media
If you've ever spent time outdoors during mosquito season, you know how irritating mosquito bites can be. The relentless itching that follows can drive anyone crazy. But what makes mosquito bites itch so badly, and how can you find relief? Let's dive into the reasons behind the itch and explore some effective remedies.
What Causes Mosquito Bites to Itch?
When a mosquito bites, it injects saliva into your skin. This saliva contains proteins that prevent your blood from clotting, allowing the mosquito to feed. Your immune system recognizes these proteins as foreign substances and releases histamines in response. Histamines cause the blood vessels around the bite to swell, resulting in inflammation and the dreaded itch.
Why Does the Itch Feel So Intense?
The severity of the itch can vary based on several factors:
Individual Sensitivity: Some people have stronger immune reactions to mosquito saliva, leading to more intense itching.
Mosquito Species: Different species of mosquitoes have different types of saliva, which can cause varying reactions.
Number of Bites: Multiple bites can exacerbate the immune response, increasing the overall itchiness.
Remedies for Mosquito Bite Itching
Cold Treatment: Applying a cold pack or ice to the bite can reduce swelling and numb the area, providing quick relief.
Anti-Itch Creams: Over-the-counter creams containing hydrocortisone, calamine, or antihistamines can help soothe the itch.
Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe vera has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can help calm the skin and reduce itching.
Baking Soda Paste: Create a paste with baking soda and water, and apply it to the bite. This can help neutralize the skin's pH and relieve itching.
Oatmeal Baths: Adding colloidal oatmeal to a bath can help soothe widespread itching from multiple bites.
Preventing Mosquito Bites
Preventing bites is the best way to avoid the itch altogether. Here are some tips:
Use Insect Repellent: Repellents with DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus can help keep mosquitoes at bay.
Wear Long Clothing: Long sleeves, pants, and socks can protect your skin from bites.
Sleep Under Mosquito Nets: Especially in areas with high mosquito activity, nets can provide effective protection.
Eliminate Standing Water: Mosquitoes breed in standing water, so removing it can reduce their population around your home.
Conclusion
Mosquito bites and the resulting itch can be incredibly frustrating. Understanding why mosquito bites itch so bad and knowing how to treat them can make your outdoor experiences much more enjoyable. For further insights on dealing with mosquito bites, check out this article.
By taking preventive measures and applying effective remedies, you can minimize the discomfort and focus on enjoying your time outdoors.

How do I know which ones are Ivy rashes and which ones are Sumac rashes? *He began to itch his skin*
Oh also, if I were to make a Hoochief touch these plants, would they also get rashes?
Tumblr media
"Poison ivy rashes are more circular, while poison sumac rashes are more like lines. They look the same aside from the shape difference. Bright red and itchy. Don't scratch the area though, you might wound yourself or transfer the chemical to other parts of your skin. Wear bandages around your arms if you have to. Remember, it's an irritant that is meant to feel itchy. Also, the reaction tends to get worse with repeated exposure."
Verina explains, demonstrating on her arm.
Tumblr media
"Fortunately, just wearing protective clothing is all you need to prevent future exposure. Use the calamine lotion as indicated on the package, use Aloe vera lotion for relief if it still itches, and avoid scratching your arms."
She ignores the query about Hoochiefs completely, instead bringing over a small bottle of green slime-like material that she places next to the calamine lotion.
"Here's the Aloe vera lotion."

How To Avoid Skin Rashes In The Summer
Welcome to ehealthy99! Summer is a wonderful season, but the heat and humidity can often lead to uncomfortable skin rashes. Here are some effective tips to help you avoid skin rashes in the summer:
Stay Cool and Dry One of the primary causes of summer skin rashes is excessive sweating. Try to stay in cool, air-conditioned environments whenever possible. Wear lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton that allow your skin to breathe and wick away moisture. Change out of sweaty clothes as soon as you can to keep your skin dry.
Keep Your Skin Clean Regularly washing your skin helps remove sweat, dirt, and bacteria that can contribute to rashes. Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to avoid irritating your skin. Pay extra attention to areas prone to sweating, such as under the arms, under the breasts, and the groin area.
Use Antiperspirants and Talcum Powder Antiperspirants can help reduce sweating, especially in areas like the underarms. Talcum powder or cornstarch-based powders can also help keep your skin dry by absorbing excess moisture. Apply these powders to areas prone to sweating before you head out for the day.
Moisturize Regularly Keeping your skin moisturized helps maintain its barrier function and prevent irritation. Choose a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer that won't clog your pores. Look for ingredients like aloe vera and chamomile, which have soothing properties.
Avoid Tight Clothing Tight clothing can trap heat and moisture, creating an ideal environment for rashes. Opt for loose-fitting clothes that allow your skin to breathe. This will help keep your body cool and reduce the likelihood of friction that can cause irritation.
Stay Hydrated Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Well-hydrated skin is less likely to become dry and irritated. Aim for at least eight glasses of water a day, and increase your intake if you're spending time outdoors in the heat.
Protect Your Skin from the Sun Sunburn can worsen skin rashes, so it's important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, and reapply every two hours or after swimming or sweating. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and seek shade during the peak sun hours.
Use Soothing Treatments If you do develop a rash, treat it promptly to prevent it from getting worse. Over-the-counter creams containing hydrocortisone or calamine can help soothe itching and inflammation. Aloe vera gel is also effective for cooling and calming irritated skin.

Avoid Skin Rashes In Summer
At ehealthy99, we know how challenging it can be to keep your skin rash-free during the hot summer months. Here are some practical tips to help you avoid skin rashes in summer:
Choose Breathable Fabrics Wear clothes made from natural fibers like cotton or linen, which allow air to circulate and keep your skin cool. Avoid synthetic materials that can trap heat and moisture, leading to rashes.
Shower After Sweating After exercising or spending time in the heat, take a cool shower to wash away sweat and bacteria. This will help prevent clogged pores and reduce the risk of developing heat rash.
Stay in the Shade Whenever possible, stay in the shade to avoid direct sun exposure. Use umbrellas, wide-brimmed hats, and lightweight, long-sleeved clothing to protect your skin from the sun's harsh rays.
Avoid Hot and Humid Environments Try to stay in air-conditioned or well-ventilated areas during hot and humid weather. If you need to be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade or indoors to cool down.
Apply Anti-Chafing Products Areas like the thighs, underarms, and under the breasts can be prone to chafing. Use anti-chafing balms or petroleum jelly to reduce friction and protect your skin from irritation.
By following these tips, you can enjoy the summer without the discomfort of skin rashes. For more health and wellness advice, visit us at ehealthy99!

"...Okay, you'll need calamine lotion for those. Aloe vera is good for soothing..."
As she speaks, the botanist goes over to a cabinet and retrieves a bottle of the lotion.
"While the calamine lotion will help with the poison ivy rash, you'll just have to wait out the poison sumac rash. Next time you go out into wooded areas, wear long sleeves and long pants, boots, and wear gloves before touching unknown plants. I'd also recommend purchasing a book on plants to avoid."
Verina puts on gloves and takes the plants to another room before returning.
"Be careful next time, okay?"
